OK Humane Foster & Adoption | our new foster Emmy!

I have a huge love of animals, I always have.  We have two cocker spaniels, a shih tzu, and a gray tabby cat, and we hope to add another shih tzu so Abby has a buddy!  I started fostering for the OK Humane Society over the summer and I am hooked!  We just got our third foster doggie yesterday, and so far all of our fosters have been wonderful.  They are loving, sweet, and have been great with our kids.  It’s hard to let them go to adoption, but it’s so worth it knowing we helped save the life of a precious furbaby and helped them get to their forever family who will love them for life.  I have been SO impressed with OK Humane!  The process is so easy, and it doesn’t cost us a dime, they provide everything you need including food, crate, collar, leash, medical care…everything!  They are in your home for about 2-3 weeks then they ready for adoption.

If you would like to open your heart and your home to help a furbaby in need, please visit Ok Humane’s website at www.okhumane.org

And now for the pics….this is our newest foster who we have named Emmy, who could resist that face?!!

Carter talking to Emmy, she is so gentle with him and tolerates his bear hugs and kisses!

She came to us mostly house trained, with a day or two of learning our routine she will be good to go.  And she has been so great with our kids,

she even slept on our daughter’s bed all night last night, so sweet!

Central Oklahoma Humane Society | helping a furry friend in need!

We recently fostered a dog through the Central Oklahoma Humane Society’s rescue program and it was a great experience!  So we have decided to take in more foster dogs when we can.  We currently have this sweet little Yorkie mix, he’s a 5 pound, 2 year old male, and oh such a love bug!  He’s doing great with our two dogs and the cat, and he LOVES our kids!  Follows our 3 year old all around the house, and the instant he sits George is hopping up in his lap.

If you are interested in becoming a foster family, or would like to adopt a furry friend, I would highly recommend checking out the Humane Society!  They are a great organization, friendly staff, clean adoption facility, and all of the dogs have been in foster homes being loved on and cared for in a loving home rather than sitting in a cage until they are adopted.  By the time they are adopted they have been socialized and loved on and are ready for a smooth transition to your home!  All adoptable dogs and cats are spay/neutered and up to date on shots too!
